Dead Space is one of the modern phenomenons of cross platform console gaming. Initially launched in 2008, and with over 4.5 million games sold worldwide, the space horror is one of the highest rated franchises of this console generation.
To coincide with the launch of Dead Space 3, Titan Books will publish, THE ART OF DEAD SPACE [Titan Books, February, 2013], by Martin Robinson, a celebration of the terrifying universe of DEAD SPACE.
A lavish full-color hardcover art book, THE ART OF DEAD SPACE is the ultimate gallery of the DEAD SPACE universe, with over 300 images including original concept art images and sketches, many never seen before, and detailed commentary from the acclaimed artists — from breathtaking spacescapes and terrifying Necromorphs to character designs and creating a religion. This book includes art from the Dead Space games: Dead Space, Dead Space: Extraction, Dead Space: Ignition, Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3, and concept art from the graphic novels Dead Space: Salvage and Dead Space: Liberation.
Titan is also publishing a Limited Edition version of THE ART OF DEAD SPACE, which will become available in March 2013 at the Titan Exclusives Shopify site. THE ART OF DEAD SPACE LIMITED EDITION ($75) has a limited run of 1000 copies, a glossy laminated slip-case, and comes with a signed print by game artist Patrick O’Keefe.
If that’s not enough a brand new graphic novel from award-winning artist Christopher Shy and acclaimed writer Ian Edginton is on the way. This original comic acts as a prequel to the events in Dead Space 3.
And if you missed them, Titan Books is also reissuing new editions of the two Dead Space graphic novels: DEAD SPACE: SALVAGE, by Anthony Johnston and Christopher Shy; and DEAD SPACE, by Anthony Johnston and Ben Templesmtih, which is a collection of Dead Space comics #1-6 and the prequel, Extraction. These include galleries of never-before-seen materials!
