Olloclip have expanded their already-impressive range of iPhone photography options with a new telephoto lens attachment. Anyone who’s used digital zoom knows that it’s essentially worthless so this is a welcome addition to mobile photography. The fixed 2x lens uses optical quality, precision-ground glass lens and a has a robust high-grade aluminum body – yet pops in your pocket. I took one around a recent short jaunt to Rome and it was great for close ups – especially when capturing roped off tourist attractions.

Olloclip have also bundled a circular polarizer lens (CPL), which blocks out light coming in at user-adjustable angles, making colors truer to life and reducing reflections. The CPL can also be used directly on the iPhone camera or on the olloclip 3-in-one lens system with fisheye or wide-angle lenses (sold separately).

Available at and through major retailers including Apple in July and Best Buy in August. The olloclip telephoto lens retails for £99.99.
